PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly detect a short fault between the input and output parts of an opening/closing device. SOLUTION: An air-conditioner is equipped with a DC voltage generating device 1, a current feeding means 9 connected in series to the DC voltage generating device 1, a fed amperage sensing means 14 to sense the fed amperage by the current feeding means 9, the opening/closing device 8 connected parallel with the current feeding means 9, a capacitor 3 to be charged by the DC voltage generating device 1 through the current feeding means 9, a motor-operated compressor driving means 4 whereto the power is supplied from the DC voltage generating device 1 through the opening/closing device 8 for driving a motor-operated compressor 5, and a control means 10 to control the opening/closing device 8 and the compressor driving means 4, wherein the control means 10 actuates the compressor driving means 4 by controlling the opening/closing device 8 into the open position and determines that the part between the input and output of the opening/closing device 8 is in short fault in case the fed current flowing in the current feeding device 9 is below the prescribed value, which enables to certainly detect a short-circuit between the input and output parts of the opening/closing device 8 originating from an adhesion etc. of relay contacts.
