PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile seat height adjusting device capable of stabilizing engagement between gears, easily ensuring smooth action, and simplifying a structure. SOLUTION: Each pair of right and left links 4, 3 is arranged before and behind a seat. A link base frame lays the links 3, 4 to right and left seat installing brackets 1b, 1a and right and left seat side frames 2. An operation knob 7 is equipped to the seat, and the operation knob 7 and a link base frame 15 are connected by an operation transmitting portion 20. The operation transmitting portion 20 has a pinion gear 8 attached to a rotating shaft 7a of the operation knob 7, a sector gear 9 meshed with the pinion gear 9, and a link rod 10 coupling a position eccentric from a rotation center of the sector gear 9 and the rear side link 4. The link base frame 15 is arranged on the inside of the seat side frame 2, and a gear case 22 is fixed to the outside of the seat side frame 2 to install the operation knob 7.
