PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antireflection film with high antireflection, mass production aptitude and excellent abrasion resistance; and to provide a polarizing late and an image display device using it. SOLUTION: The above are achieved by an antireflection film having a low refractive layer on the outermost surface of a transparent plastic film substrate covered by a hard coat layer, wherein the low refractive layer is formed from a photo-curable composition comprising an inorganic fine particle, a cationic polymerizing compound having a silyl group within the molecule, and a photo-cationic polymerization initiator.
