PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throwaway tip capable of suppressing the occurrence of a crack in a tip holder. SOLUTION: In the throwaway tip 23, the holder peripheral direction dimension S6 of the holder radial direction inner part is formed so as to be shorter than the holder peripheral direction dimension S5 of holder radial direction outer part in a state being mounted to a tip holder 22. Therefore, in the tip holder 22, the wall thickness T 2 of the holder radial direction inner part of the projection part 46 can be made thick by the amount that the holder peripheral direction dimension S6 of the holder radial direction inner part among the throwaway tips 23 is formed to be short. The generation of the crack at the radial direction inner part of the tip holder 22 can be prevented thereby, and the strength of the tip holder 22 is improved to be able to extend the life of the tip holder 22.
