PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemical treatment apparatus which can estimate the state of a treatment tank rapidly and accurately, and carry out a chemical treatment of a treated object suitably. SOLUTION: In a fixed bed type reactor 1, a multi-point temperature gauge 11 in which a plurality of thermo couples 13 arranged at even intervals mutually along a vertical direction are provided is inserted into a reaction tube 3 provided in a reaction vessel 2, the temperatures at different positions in the vertical direction of the reaction tube 3 are detected by each thermo couple 13 at the same time, and a detection temperature profile prepared by a controller 15 based on each temperature detected estimates a life and a catalyst activity power of a solid catalyst filled in the reaction tube 3.
