Disclosed are compositions, including LcrV antigenic polypeptides, vaccines and antibodies, as well as associated methods for treating and/or preventing Yersinia infection in a host. The invention further provides immunomodulatory LcrV proteins and polypeptides comprising TLR2 and IFN-?R-IFN-? -binding sequences that stimulate host anti-inflammatory responses and repress pro-inflammatory responses.
