METHOD FOR CODING AND INTER-VIEW BALANCED DISPARITY ESTIMATION IN MULTIVIEW ANIMATION CODING/DECODING SYSTEM

An encoding method and an inter-view balanced disparity estimating method of a multiview moving picture encoding/decoding system are provided to perform multiview moving picture encoding in consideration of scalability using GOMV(Group Of Multiview) and GGOP(Group of GOP(Group Of Picture)) and improve encoding efficiency. Frames of a base GOP are encoded in GGOP. Frames of at least one GOP including at least one P-picture are encoded using the base GOP. Bidirectional disparity estimation is performed on frames of a GOP including only B-pictures, which exists between the base GOP and the GOP including at least one P-picture, using the base GOP and the GOP including at least one P-picture to encode the frames of the GOP including only B-pictures.
