PLL CIRCUIT AND OPTICAL DISK DRIVE USING THIS CIRCUIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a phase slip in a PLL circuit by improving the linearity of a phase error signal.

SOLUTION: This optical disk drive has such a feature that it is equipped with: phase error producing means (2-8) for producing the phase error signal; secondary higher harmonic producing means (13-17) for producing the secondary higher harmonic of the phase error signal; and an adding means (18) for adding the phase error signal and an output of the secondary higher harmonic producing means, and the output of the adding means is settled to a new phase error signal.
