<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the influence of the lowering of a sampling rate of a color signal used for calculation of a focal point evaluation value, when a color filter of a predetermined arrangement is formed, in correspondence with the position of pixels of an imaging device. <P>SOLUTION: As readout modes for outputting imaging signals from an imaging device 2, the electronic auto-focus camera has a frame readout mode, in which signals corresponding to all pixels of the image pickup device 2 are read out line-sequentially by a single horizontal line, and a high-speed readout mode, in which the imaging signals are thinned out from the imaging device 2 and read out by the predetermined lines. A CPU 12 selects the high-speed readout mode for calculating the focal point evaluation value at the time of AF processing. In the high-speed readout mode, the imaging signals are read out of the two neighboring horizontal lines for each of six horizontal lines of the imaging device 2. In the calculation of the focal point evaluation value, data of the G color, contained in the two horizontal lines, are rearranged so that they compliment each other in the horizontal direction, thereby making the data of the G color line up at the pitch of one pixel in the horizontal direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
