WASTE DISPOSAL APPARATUS

A housing (1) to hold a wheeled refuse container or "wheelie bin" (8) comprises a casing (5, 6) which extends through a wall (2) of a building and is located mainly within the building, for example in a kitchen (7). The casing (5, 6) has a door (3) opening to an exterior (4) of the building, through which the wheelie-bin (8) may be installed in and removed from the casing (5, 6). A covered hatch (17) allows waste to be deposited into the wheelie-bin (8) from within the building. The casing (5, 6) may be incorporated into a range of kitchen units, a top (15) of the casing (5, 6) being incorporated into a conventional worktop (16). A ramp (27, 28) is deployable outside the housing (1) to provide access to the door (3).
