It is possible to eliminate a large-capacity storage and execute data search at a high speed. A server device (10<SUB>i</SUB>) includes a storage (20<SUB>i</SUB>) for storing data. The server device (10<SUB>i</SUB>) transmits, at a predetermined timing, a predetermined command specifying a predetermined condition in at least one server device pre-selected among the server devices contained in a computer system (1). When at least one server device which has received the predetermined command contains data which coincides with the predetermined condition specified by the predetermined command and which can be referenced from the server device (10<SUB>i</SUB>), the data is transferred from the at least one server device which has received the predetermined command to the server device (10<SUB>i</SUB>). The server device (10<SUB>i</SUB>) stores the transferred data in the storage (20<SUB>i</SUB>) in the server device (10<SUB>i</SUB>) and executes data search only in the storage (20<SUB>i</SUB>) in the server device (10<SUB>i</SUB>).
