A monitoring system using a robot and a robot monitoring method using the system are provided to increase reliability of the monitoring result by moving a monitoring robot to an area to be monitored. A monitoring system using a robot includes plural monitoring devices(200), at least one monitoring robot(100), and a remote controller(700). The monitoring devices monitor an area to be monitored. When an abnormal situation is detected in the area, the monitoring device generates and delivers an abnormal situation signal to the monitoring robot. The monitoring robot receives the abnormal situation signal and moves to the area. Then, the monitoring robot analyzes the abnormal situation and transmits an alarm signal. The remote controller receives the alarm signal from the monitoring robot and remotely controls the monitoring robot. |
