<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of noise by certainly absorbing impact relative to a glass run of a door glass. <P>SOLUTION: The glass run for an automobile is mounted to an inner periphery of a door frame of a door of the automobile and guides lifting of the door glass. A body part of the glass run 10 is made to an approximately U shape cross section comprising an outdoor side side wall 20, an indoor side side wall 30 and a bottom wall 40. An outdoor side seal lip 21 and an indoor side seal lip 31 extending from distal ends of the outdoor side side wall and the indoor side side wall toward the inner side of an approximately U shape cross section respectively are provided. In the bottom wall, a bottom wall shock-absorbing lip 47 extending obliquely from one side part of an inner surface of the bottom wall toward the inside is formed.
