<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup, an optical recording and/or reproduction apparatus including the same, and a method of detecting a tracking error signal. <P>SOLUTION: The optical pickup comprises: a light source; an objective lens for focusing incident light to an information recording medium; a hologram grating for dividing incident light from the light source into a main beam, a first sub-beam, and a second sub-beam by diffraction, and forming a wave front which is continuously changed to the first sub-beam and the second sub-beam so that an AC component amplitude of a sub-push-pull signal with respect to the first sub-beam and the second sub-beam is reduced; and a photodetector for receiving the main beam, the first sub-beam, and the second sub-beam which are reflected after the information recording medium is irradiated with the beams, so that a main push-pull signal with respect to the main beam, and the sub-push-pull signal with respect to the first sub-beam and the second sub-beam are obtained.
