<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of an image failure caused by dew formation by surely preventing dew formation in an image carrier and to provide an image forming apparatus which is made small-sized by saving space inside the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The surface temperature of the photosensitive drum 20, and the internal temperature and the internal humidity of a main body 1 are detected. The due point temperature is calculated using the detected results. The calculated dew point temperature and the surface temperature of the photosensitive drum 20 are compared with each other and warming up is continued until the surface temperature of the photosensitive drum 20 is higher than the temperature of the dew point and no dew formation occurs on the photosensitive drum 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
