THREE-DIMENSIONAL DISPLAY METHOD AND THREE-DIMENSIONAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily three-dimensionally display a display target object whose luminance is low by performing the subtraction of the luminance on two front and back surfaces in a three-dimensional display device of a DFD display system.

SOLUTION: In the three-dimensional display method of the DFD display system, when two adjacent display surfaces are respectively set as a front surface and a back surface, the luminance or the transmittance of a two-dimensional picture displayed on the back surface is subtracted from the luminance or the transmittance of a two-dimensional picture displayed on the front surface, and the luminance or the transmittance of the two-dimensional picture displayed on each display surface is changed for every display surface independently according to the absolute value of the difference of the luminance or the transmittance of the two-dimensional picture so that the luminance observed by an observer may be equal to the luminance of the original display target object.
