<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transflective liquid crystal display which can maintain the same color feeling without regard to changes in operation mode by making gamma curves of a transmissive mode and a reflective mode meet together with high precision. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display panel according to the present invention has respective pixels divided into three areas. A 1st area is a transmissive area for transmitting light from a backlight. A 2nd area and a 3rd area are reflective areas for reflecting light originating from the exterior environment. Especially, in one of the reflective areas, an overcoat film formed on a common electrode connects an auxiliary capacitor to liquid crystal capacitors in series. The gamma curves of the transmissive mode and reflective mode meet together by controlling the area ratio of the two reflective areas and the voltage division ratio of the liquid crystal capacitor and auxiliary capacitors in the one reflective area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
