PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus embedding information of a plurality of bits in an image and extracting them, an image processing method, an image processing program, and a recording medium. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus embedding information in an image comprises: judgment means for judging relative relation between at least two kinds of predetermined patterns on the basis of information to be embedded, and pattern superimposing means for superimposing the predetermined pattern on the image so as to form the relative relation judged by the judgment means.
