PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the capacitance of a variable capacitance element for use in a frequency variable oscillator while suppressing an increase in a mounting area. SOLUTION: The frequency variable oscillator is provided with a semiconductor chip 11 with a feedback circuit B11 formed therein, a SAW vibrator W11 and a variable capacitance capacitor C11 are layered on the semiconductor chip 11, and a thin film piezoelectric substance layer 14 constituting the SAW vibrator W11 is used to form the variable capacitance capacitor C11.
