PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a level difference ride-over assisting device which is capable of smoothly riding over a level difference without requiring any large force, and attached to a conveying device such as a conventional wheelchair and a shopping cart without any change. SOLUTION: A frame 2 is rotatably mounted on a mounting shaft 1 to be inserted in a mounting part of front wheels of a wheelchair. The frame 2 is formed of a light metal or a synthetic resin, and has a U-shaped section, and its base 21 is inclined forwardly. A main wheel 3 which is constantly brought into contact with the ground and rotated is mounted inside the frame. A plurality of auxiliary wheels 41-43 having the diameter of about 1/5 to 1/4 of the diameter of the main wheel 3 are arranged on both sides of the frame 2 at an equal spacing along the base 21 of the frame 2. The level difference can be smoothly ridden over without any large force when the auxiliary wheels 41-43 of the frame 2 successively ride over the level difference. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
