PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake pedal device capable of realizing maintaining of the stopping state and its release by intention of a driver without performing step-change of a pedal and operation of a parking lever or the like. SOLUTION: The brake pedal device electrically controls a pedal position or pedal reaction force by an actuator. even if a leg is released from the pedal after it is stepped-in, the actuator is controlled such that the pedal position is not returned to generate braking force. Further, the state that the pedal position is not returned is released by stepping the accelerator pedal in the pedal position is not returned and applying the pedal stepping force of a predetermined value or higher to the brake pedal.
