The converter has a modulator (10) with a feed-forward control arrangement finding a duty cycle for an impulse signal, based on input and output voltages and a magnitude of current flow via an inductor. An error amplifier has inputs coupled with a reference voltage source and an output adapter, respectively, and an output supplying a correction signal to the modulator to adjust the cycle. The converter is implemented as a CMOS circuit.
