ELECTROGAS WELDING APPARATUS AND CONTROLLING METHOD

An electro gas welding apparatus capable of reducing the number of required cable types and preventing attenuation of a signal level generated in an analog control signal during long-distance transmission by dividing one control part into a main part and a sub part and interlocking between the main part and the sub part with digital communication, and a method for controlling the same are provided. An electro gas welding apparatus comprises: a carriage(10) mounted on a rail member(11) and automatically traveled along the rail member; a power source(20) for supplying a required power source during welding; a water cooler(30) for cooling which supplies required cooling water during welding; a shielding gas feeder(40) for feeding a shielding gas such as carbon dioxide; a wire feeder(50) for feeding a required welding wire to a welding part during welding; and a control part for controlling the foregoing parts, wherein the control part is divided into a main part(1) and a sub part(2) in which individual microprocessors are embedded, and which are interlocked with digital communication to own information jointly.
