The device has an emblem (12) including a housing delimited by a flange (20) in which a support (14) is tightly mounted. The support is fixed to a mounting surface by back stop elastic projections cooperating with a through hole arranged in the mounting surface. The support has two elastic centering tongues (62) adapted to cooperate with the though hole, where a sealing lip (64) extends on one of the surfaces of the support such that the projections and tongues are surrounded by the lip.
