A personal security device comprises a watch 1 having an internal chip and panic button 2 that, when pressed, will send a signal 6 to a call centre 4 giving the exact location of the individual, e.g. GPS coordinates, so that emergency services 5 can be sent out. The device also includes a vibration alert so that, when the call centre 4 receives the signal 6, it will then send a vibratory signal back to the individual to let them know that help is on its way. The internal chip may be coded with a user specific identifier so that it can only be used by the correct person. |
