The motor vehicle has a means of exterior lighting, especially a headlight, inserted in an opening in the outer skin of the body. A housing for the means of lighting is fastened on the inner side of the skin adjacent to the insertion opening and has a horizontally orientated mounting plate and first and second fastening flanges fastened to fastening surfaces on the inside of the skin. Both the fastening flanges (24,26,45) and the fastening surfaces (28,29,46) lie in a plane (E2,E3,E4) to which a vertical axis of the vehicle forms a parallel. |
