<p>A hoist arrangement comprises a lifting arm 1 having a pivot pin 9 at the lifting end, a hoist accessory 2 (eg. a spacer/spreader bar, a weighing scales, a stretcher etc.) having retaining means comprising a sleeve 3 and a hook portion 4, and whereby the retaining hook 4 can be releasably engaged with pivot pin 9 of the arm 1 so as to allow pivotal motion thereof and a locking means (whereby sleeve 3 is automatically biassed in to a locking position via spring 7, Fig 3) is also included so that the pivot pin is automatically locked in to position upon engagement with the retaining means. Arm 1 may subsequently be dis-engaged from the accessory by pushing the retainer downwards against the force of spring (7) so as to disengage pivot 9 from hook 4.</p> |
