A locking hook for a locking bar 14 of a cokeoven or like door consists of a plate-like member secured as by rivets 8 to a flange on a surface of the oven structure adjacent a vertical edge of the door and having a recess 11 with parallel sides 12 and 13 for receiving the locking bar 14 and being of sufficient width to allow a horizontal sliding movement of the locking bar within the recess in a plane perpendicular to the door and to provide an abutment for the locking bar in either direction of its sliding movement.</p> |
