<p>This system allows the user to view remote real world locations online using streamed or downloaded image-based rendering techniques. The process begins with filming a real world environment and then streaming or downloading the image-based rendering techniques to replay the tour in an interactive manner. This online interactive video tour is made interactive by the user selecting which set of streaming or downloaded image-based renders to watch next, this is achieved at key points within the tour. Each key point, allows the user to look around in any direction and then choose the next set of streaming by clicking on a hotspot. This system is also enhanced using overhead maps, floor plans, video transitions, informative text and sound.</p> |
