The invention relates to a hydraulic power-assisted steering system comprising a steering element, especially a steering wheel, vehicle wheels that are force-coupled to the steering wheel in order to adjust the steering, an adjustment unit (1) comprising two working chambers (1a, 1b), a relatively pressure-free hydraulic tank (6), and a control valve arrangement comprising two pressure-reducing valves (3a, 3b; 23a, 23b) that are embodied in such a way as to connect the working chambers (1a, 1b) to the outlet side of a pump (4). According to the invention, the pump (4) is a pressure-regulated and/or flow-regulated pump with a volume flow that can be modified or adjusted independently from the generated pressure. |
