Machine for either Chemical or Mechanical or Thermal Volume Variation, which is able to perform, alternatively and exclusively, any respective Operation cycle, that is: either a Thermodynamic Cycle, during which the Chemical Energy of an appropriateair-fuel mixture is directly converted via combustion to mechanical work (Internal Combustion Engine),or a Hydrodynamic Cycle of either a fluid or a gas working medium, during which Mechanical Work is produced (Hydraulic or Pneumatic Engine) or consumed (Hydraulic or Pneumatic Pump),or a Refrigeration Cycle, during which either Thermal Energy is used, deriving from External Combustion or from other Heat sources, like the Sun and Mechanical Work is produced (Stirling Engine), or Mechanical Work is consumed and Heat is added to or rejected (Heat Pump or Refrigerating Machine).This Machine is characterized by a series of newly introduced Processes and Structures that render it on the one hand truly Piston Engine and on the other purely Rotary Engine. |
