A bladeset (16) for a hair clipper (10) includes blade teeth configured to guide hair strands toward a cutting zone and to retain hair strands in the cutting zone. Another feature of the present self-cutting hair trimmer (10) is a housing (12) configured to provide a cutting line "L" associated with a generally elongate handle (14), which in turn provides a bladeset angle of attack substantially perpendicular to hair to be cut on all parts of a self-user's head or a subject's head when the present trimmer is held by a user in either hand.
