A method for manufacturing ferro-molybdenum through reductive reaction is provided to obtain high purity ferro-molybdenum by blending iron and molyoxide(MoO3) powder as starting materials and adding a cross-linking agent to the blend, molding and firing the mixture, and heating the molded material under reductive atmosphere. The method comprises the steps of: admixing iron powder, molybdenum powder with a cross-linking agent; molding the admixture into a formed material; first calcining the formed material to form first calcined body; and secondly calcining the first calcined body in a reductive furnace. The method further includes a drying step between the admixing step and the molding step. The molybdenum powder has 40-66% Mo purity and fineness below 50mm. The cross-linking agent is at least one selected from zinc stearate, acro wax and molasses.
