DEVICE FOR CHANGING THE TONE OF A STRING MUSICAL INSTRUMENT

The proposed device for changing the tone of a string musical instrument contains a rectangular resilient insert designed for acting of the strings. The insert is installed at the instrument with a possibility to be fixed in the operating or nonoperating state. The insert has slots with a conical cross-section that overlap the strings in the operating state of the insert. The number of the slots is the same as the number of the stings. The fastening of the insert between the first and the second strings of the instrument and the fixation of the insert at the operating or nonoperating position is provided by a wire C-shaped lock that is installed in the longitudinal cut-out of the insert.
