Provided is a secondary battery which is prevented in the separation of the welding part between a tap and an electrode group due to impact or vibration and is improved in reliance and lifetime. The secondary battery comprises an electrode group(14) which comprises a separator, and a positive electrode and a negative electrode arranged at both sides of the separator; a case(15) where the electrode group is accommodated; and a cap plate(30) which is combined with the case to seal it and is provided with an external terminal electrically connected with the uncoated area(11a) of the electrode group by a tap(20). The tap comprises a connection part(21) which is electrically connected with the uncoated area of the electrode group; and a buffer part(22) which is extended from the connection part to be connected with the external terminal and is bent between the connection part and the external terminal.
