Method for cooling the engine of rotator of drill assembly of roller cutter drill rig for blast holes at which cooling of engine is performed from independent source of ventilation through its inner ventilation with discharge of thermal energy to environment. For ventilation of engine one uses power of wind flow with increased pressure, the last one is formed by compressor to provide cooling of the roller cutter and removal of milled drilled rock from the well, with partial disintegration of air flow from compressor, with cleaning part of it with removal of water-oil aerosols, with cooling and directing to the engine of the rotator.
