The proposed laser plumb can be used for determining a vertical direction when constructing buildings or installing large-dimensional industrial equipment. The plumb is distinctive by its simple design and extended functionality range. The plumb contains a casing, a frame, which is suspended in the casing by two crossing wires, laser diodes, and collimating lenses. The plumb casing can be rotated by an electric drive with program control. The error of the plumb in determining a vertical direction is no more than 1 second of arc per 10 angular minutes of the casing inclination.
