PHOTOCATALYST SHEET, METHOD OF BONDING THEREOF AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

A photocatalyst sheet that avoids decomposition of resins of base material and photocatalyst-containing layer by photocatalyst grains, facilitating bonding of sheets and that realizes exertion of an effect of photoredox by photocatalyst; a method of bonding thereof; and a process for producing the same. There is provided photocatalyst sheet (1b) comprising base material (2) of a fiber, etc. having its both major surfaces coated with coating layers (3), wherein the coating layers (3) are each a photocatalyst-containing layer composed of apatite-coated photocatalyst grains (4) dispersed and immobilized by a resin. The apatite-coated photocatalyst grains (4) lying in the surface of the photocatalyst-containing layer are immobilized so as to have a portion exposed from the surface of the photocatalyst- containing layer. The bonding of photocatalyst sheets (1b) is accomplished by matching bonding faces of the photocatalyst sheets (1b) without removing the photocatalyst-containing layers thereof and effecting bonding through hot melt adhesion, etc.
