A method for pig-iron treatment in hot-metal ladle car involves melt preparation in the metallurgical unit, its heat and time treatment in this unit, introduction to the molten cast iron in the process of its discharge out of the metallurgical unit into the ladle of slag-forming mixture, subsequent cooling and melt discharge. A slag-forming mixture is introduced to the ladle in quantity of 1.5-2.5 kg / t of pig-iron at humidity not more than 2 %.
