FUEL CELL SYSTEM AND DRIVING METHOD OF THE SAME

Provided are a fuel cell system and its operation method, to allow an already-existing oxidation-type heater to be applied in the system using a gaseous fuel. The fuel cell system(100) comprises a stack(10) which generate an electric energy by the electrochemical reaction of hydrogen and oxygen; a heater(20) which generates a heat energy of a first temperature range by the first oxidation reaction of a liquid fuel and oxygen in the initial operation of the system and generates a heat energy of a second temperature range by the second oxidation reaction of a gaseous fuel and oxygen in the normal operation of the system; a reformer(30) which reforms the gaseous fuel and water by the heat energy of second temperature range into a reformed gas containing hydrogen; a first fuel supply source(50) which is connected with the heater to supply the liquid fuel; a second fuel supply source(60) which is connected with the heater and the reformer to supply the gaseous fuel; a water supply source(70) which is connected with the reformer to supply water; and an oxygen supply source(80) which is connected with the heater and the stack to supply oxygen.
