The invention relates to the mechanical engineering and concerns heat treatment of welding joints of steel products. A welding joint and heat-affected area are simultaneously subjected to heat treatment, carrying out heating in each cycle at a rate of 3-11 DEGREE C/s up to temperatures of Ac3 + (85-135) DEGREE C and natural cooling to temperatures of Ac3 + (15-85) DEGREE C. In each following cycle in relation to previous technological temperature of heating and cooling is risen, providing accumulation of heat in a core, and duration of heating and cooling is reduced, preventing the overheating of welding joint surface and leading up a temperature difference between a surface and core of welding joint up to 20 DEGREE C in last cycle of heat treatment. Technical result: the uniformity of structure of a welding joint and heat-affected area, reduction of duration of heat treatment.
