SECONDARY BATTERY AND TERMINAL ASSEMBLY USING THE SAME

Provided are a secondary battery which is prevented in the reduction of the cross-sectional area of a tap between an uncoated area and an external terminal and is inhibited in the increase of resistance, and a terminal assembly used in the battery. The secondary battery comprises an electrode group(10) which comprises a separator(5), and a positive electrode plate(1) and a negative electrode plate(3) arranged at both sides of the separator; a case(9) where the electrode group is accommodated; a tap(20) which comprises a terminal part connected with an external terminal(21), left and right connection parts connected with both terminals of the terminal part so as to face in parallel each other, and left and right inward connection parts connected with the each one side part of the left and right connection parts by a bent part to form the interval of a certain distance so as to be electrically connected with the uncoated area(11) of the electrode group; and a cap assembly(30) which is combined with the case to seal it and is combined with an external terminal connected with the tap.
