A hydrocarbon well pump has impellers and diffusers configured with inner a nd outer sections. The central section contains impeller passages configured fo r pumping liquid. The outer section contains turbine blades for compressing gas. A cylindrical sidewall separates the two sections. A driven shaft rotates the central and outer sections in unison.
