The connector has a female housing unit (1), in which pins (3) are extended. The pins extend into a cylinder (8) extended by a skirt (20). A piston (13) is housed in the cylinder and movable against the action of spring plates (12) tending to push it towards the skirt. The piston is edged by a lip seal (18) comprising passages for the pins edged by tapered parts (32) of the seal. A washer (24) compresses the tapered parts of the seal, when the piston is disposed near the skirt, to close the seal.
