The device has a tank (2) composed of two opposite and parallel main walls and comprising a resistor (3) for heating water in the tank, a water inlet (5) and a hot water outlet (6). The walls are separated by a distance that is two times lesser than the length of the diagonal of the walls so as to form a flat tank. The walls are rigidified using tie rods (9) that are fixed to the walls and disposed perpendicular to the walls. A drain valve (12) is disposed on a lower side of the tank to empty the tank.
