The assembly has a stiffening girder (26) presenting a reduced longitudinal length and extending under a skin (6). The girder has a front side oriented towards a lower marginal region (22) of the skin panel and a rear side oriented towards a cross-member (4). The spacing between the sides is equal to the longitudinal distance between the skin and the cross-member such that, in case of a longitudinal impact subjected by the skin, the girder is longitudinally supported by the respective sides on the skin and the cross-member for holding the skin by supporting the girder on the cross-member.
