<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition excellent in curing property and stability and to provide a printed matter having good adhesion by using the ink composition and to provide a method for recording image by using the ink composition. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition comprises a cation polymerizable compound, a photopolymerization initiator and an ionic base compound.
