<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction heating cooker capable of detecting boiling with good accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: The induction heating cooker is composed of a top plate 2 on which a pot 1 is placed, a heating coil 3 located under the top plate 2 heating the pot 1, an infrared-ray detection means 5 located under the top plate 2 detecting infrared-ray emitted from bottom face of the pot 1, a temperature detection means 6 detecting the temperature of the pot 1 from output of the infrared-ray detection means 5, and a control means 7 controlling input power to the heating coil 3 in compliance with the output of the temperature detection means 6. Since whether the liquid in the pot is boiled over or not is made to be correctly judged depending on the gradient of the temperature detected by the temperature detection means 6, the boil-over can be exactly detected. By quickly restraining or stopping the input power to the heating coil when the boil-over is detected, staining of the pot 1 and the top plate 2 due to the spilled liquid can be minimized, and the induction heating cooker with good usability can be provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
