PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional permanent magnet embedded motor that it can not be downsized since torque up is not achieved, for the quantity of effective magnetic flux is saturated by the influence of the magnetic saturation at the periphery of a rotor core when an overhang part becomes a measure of length in a permanent magnet embedded motor. SOLUTION: The permanent magnet embedded motor 1 is equipped with a stator 2 where an annular yoke and a plurality teeth are made radially, leaving circumferential space serving as grooves for winding, and a rotor which faces the above stator 2 via a small air gap and generates a magnetic field by permanent magnets embedded in the rotor core held rotatably. It has second rotors 6 where second permanent magnets 7 where the same magnetic poles as the magnetic poles at the periphery of the first rotor are so magnetized axially as to be on the side of the first rotor core are arranged on the sides of the end faces of the first rotor core 4 which has a first permanent magnet 5 opposed to the stator core via an air gap. Herein, first permanent magnets 5 and, so as to roughly face the rotor core on its peripheral side, second permanent magnets 7 are arranged. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
