PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a channel control method at initializing a network system capable of excluding a delay in a response of whole apparatuses by relieving an increase in a load of an FC switch effectively coping with even concentration of remote state change notifications (RSCNs) at system initialization and to provide a program thereof and a computer system utilizing the same. SOLUTION: When the channel control method at initialization of the network system receives the remote state change notification outputted at connection of each channel to a network during initialization of a large-scale information system, the method temporarily holds its confirmation processing and the confirmation processing is sequentially executed after the initialization of the large-scale information system.
